Are you already looking ahead to Miami Art Week? Jimmy Choo certainly is.
Last night, CULTURED's Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson joined the fashion house in hosting a sexy Miami dinner to celebrate of the recent opening of Jimmy Choo's Miami Design District boutique, attended by a coterie of fashion and art world luminaries.
Hosted at the restaurant in the nearby Moore building—a 1920s pineapple plantation turned Neoclassical-style structure and now renovated cultural center—attendees sat for an intimate evening of delicacies and conversation. Amongst the diners, one could find actor Andi Potamkin, surfer Gabriel Medina, interior designer Cathy Vedovi, collector Michelle Rubell, Macklowe Whiskey's Julie Macklowe, philanthropists Kinga Lampert and Marjorie Harris, strategist Cait Bailey, the Beauty Sandwich's Iván Pol, and the Bass Museum of Art’s Silvia Karman Cubiña.
In an area celebrated for its modern architecture and enviable interiors, Jimmy Choo has planted a flag. The brand baptized their third Miami outpost with a sloping three-story white plaster façade. Inside, the boutique is adorned in a palette of rich creams and an earthy green. Tropical plants native to South Florida dot the space. Visitors will also, of course, discover a curated selection of recent runway pieces, accessories, fragrances, and jewelry, as well as an exclusive capsule collection to celebrate the launch. If you’re heading to Miami this winter, consider this an essential stop.
