At Ferragamo‘s pop-up at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton, CULTURED teamed up with Ferragamo CEO Daniella Vitale to host a garden-side party and panel discussion. Guests listened in as CULTURED Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson and Galerie Sardine founder Valentina Akerman compared notes on their experiences in the art world navigating both editorial and gallery spaces.
The Locale: Topping Rose House, a restored mansion with Gilded Age appeal, was the site of the afternoon’s activities. The hotel also hosted the Italian mainstay’s four-day pop-up from July 23 through 26, where guests perused an array of ready-to-wear and beachy accoutrements.
Memorable Moment: Framed by lush bursts of white hydrangeas, Harrelson and Akerman reflected on the latter’s time building Galerie Sardine, including the founding of the Amagansett gallery, the tough choices one must make as a dealer, and the future of the widely heralded operation.
Food and Drink: Canapés of smoked salmon-topped blinis and sweet pea empanadas circulated as guests toasted with champagne passed from the Ferragamo bar.
Parting Gift: Each attendee left with a CULTURED mini-tote packed with exclusive goods, including the highly-coveted Ina Garten cover of CULTURED‘s July/August Hamptons issue and a leather bookmark from Ferragamo.
