Drinks, art, and the best in print—just another Wednesday in Chelsea.
Among the packed shelves of Hauser & Wirth's Ursula Bookshop, a stirring presentation of Henry Taylor’s new etchings and hand-painted monoprints, and the gallery's iconic Roth Bar, Chris Black unveiled GOOD MORNING, GOOD NIGHT, his latest photo zine, last night.
A coterie of creatives joined CULTURED Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson and Palmes Founder Nikolaj Hansson in fêting the new release, published by the tennis-inspired menswear brand. Over a selection of vintages provided by Dry Farm Wines, the likes of culinary staple Alison Roman, designer Henry Zankov, fashion director Alexander Fisher, architect Adam Charlap Hyman, creative director Xavier Donnelly, chef Romilly Newman, curator Brooke Wise, and art-world powerhouse Jed Moch flipped through Black's candid collection of photos—a peek into the multihyphenate's nostalgically cosmopolitan universe.
Featuring snapshots of dreamy tablescapes, eclectic interiors, cultural rendezvous (U.S. Open, anyone?), and Black's in-crowd, the sleek number will be sure to outfit many a coffee table in the next year. Guests left with a copy in tow, along with CULTURED's Provocateur issue, leaving them with enough eye candy to last until the next meeting of the minds.
