During Paris Art Week, it’s hard to know where to focus during the onslaught of programming. But word on the street is that one new art fair in particular is worth your attention—and no, we aren't talking about Art Basel Paris. The Salon, hosted by the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) and the Community, made its debut in the historic 10th Arrondissement of Paris this year. The launch was fêted by CULTURED and Cultural Counsel at the yet-to-be-opened lounge Piccolo.

The formidable cultural alliance of NADA and the Community pulled some of the most exciting contemporary art from both organizations. The crossover offered a refreshing spin on Paris Art Week, with showings from over 50 galleries, art spaces, and nonprofit organizations hailing from 18 countries and 24 cities worldwide.

To celebrate, CULTURED helped organize an elevated mixer at Piccolo—a Milanese-style speakeasy located at the top of a six-floor spiral staircase in the Perchoir Ménilmontant—a perfect way to end the night with a punch. Amongst the crowd were artist Margaux Ogden, Dallas Art Fair Director Kelly Cornell, Galerie Alta founders Pancho Saula and Michelle Ferrara, and Embajada gallery's Manuela Paz and Christopher Rivera.
