Every craftsperson has an origin story (a workshop, a tasting, a scribbled idea) and this year, LVMH is inviting you to immerse yourself in your own.

The sixth edition of Les Journées Particulières, the luxury group’s exclusive open studio program, takes “At the Source of Dreams” as its throughline. From Oct. 16-18, 71 LVMH sites across 13 countries and 45 Maisons will open their doors to stage guided tours, private tastings, and demonstrations, honoring the origin myths that have set off their creative engines and tracing the products you see in stores back to their raw materials and verve. Ahead of the event, CULTURED rounded up the details of each American activation, for those seeking a peek behind the curtain of Chandon, Tiffany & Co., and more.

Chandon

Where: 1 California Drive, Yountville, California

Why It’s Worth a Look: Founded in 1959 by Count Robert-Jean de Vogüé, Chandon owns the largest sparkling wine estate on earth across its six properties.

What’s Planned: The winemaking team will give a guided tour of Chandon’s Napa Valley property, before serving up a sparkling flight paired with seasonal bites.

Know Before You Go: Chandon Executive Chef Peter Cham, who will be running the culinary program at the activation, is a Californian through and through—with Santa Barbara stints at the celebrated Canary Hotel, Gleason Family Vineyards, and the Hungry Cat restaurant.

Where: The Landmark by Tiffany & Co., 727 Fifth Avenue & the Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop in Flatiron, New York

Why It’s Worth a Look: The Landmark reopened in 2023 with can’t-miss allure. It’s reportedly LVMH’s largest single-store investment to date, with starchitect Peter Marino overhauling the interiors to develop a ten-story, 100,000-square-foot maze.

What’s Planned: At the Landmark, a multi-floor walking tour will showcase the maison’s blue-chip contemporary art collection alongside its trove of precious stones. At the house’s Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop in Flatiron, guests will watch the iconic Bird on a Rock brooch go from sketch to stone-setting in the hands of master artisans.

Know Before You Go: The Flatiron workshop—opened in 2018, with 18 jeweler’s benches, laser welders, and 3D printers—relies on open flames for its stone-setting, so children and service animals won’t be admitted; kindly flag any accessibility needs ahead of time, since tours run on a tight schedule.

Why It’s Worth a Look: The beauty aisle’s global ambassador will offer a rather playful take on the open studio. Think of it like a sleepover, but with makeup artists who actually know what they’re doing.

What’s Planned: Multi-brand pop-ups, product testing stations, and beauty services will run the length of the store, with a concierge on hand to point guests toward the day’s programming, all inside a building with its own backstory. The Fifth Avenue store occupies the full retail space of the 1927 World Diamond Tower, a Warren & Wetmore design (the same firm behind Grand Central Terminal).

Know Before You Go: After browsing shelves stocked with more than 300-plus brands in the retailer’s black-and-white-striped treasure chest, attendees will be able to take in the dance party, grab a snack, and head upstairs to find a dedicated space for makeovers and consultations.

Reservations for Les Journées Particulières open in three phases (September 24, 28, and 30) at 8:00 a.m. EST / 2:00 p.m. CET. Spots are limited, so be sure to book early here.
