Farm-to-table philanthropy defined Project Eats’s event this past weekend. CULTURED joined guests at Susanne and Marc Payot’s Water Mill home for a cocktail fundraiser benefiting the pioneering nonprofit founded by Linda Goode Bryant, which has spent the past 15 years transforming vacant lots into thriving urban farms across New York.

The Scene: Patrons gathered beneath the trees at the Payots’ Water Mill home for an idyllic summer cocktail celebrating the power of urban farming. The evening underscored Project Eats’s belief that food can serve as both sustenance and creative medium.

The Entertainment: Conversation flowed between artists, collectors, and advocates as guests learned more about the nonprofit’s expanding network of urban farms and its newest site, the Rise, opening this summer.

Food and Drink: Cocktails were poured with spirits from Sagaponack Farm Distillery alongside wines from Channing Daughters Winery, all joined by hors d’oeuvres passed throughout the evening.

Cause for FOMO: While most Hamptons cocktail parties celebrate the season, this one offered guests the chance to help cultivate a more food-secure New York—one farm, one harvest, and one conversation at a time.
