On Thursday night, Veronica Beard threw open the doors of its Madison Avenue sanctuary to celebrate the opening of its Trailblazer atelier pop-up—a bespoke experience where guests could customize the brand’s new signature navy blazer. CULTURED‘s Paloma Baygual Nespatti held court over the proceedings, leading a lively conversation with founders Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard. “Veronica and Veronica began their brand with one idea: that women deserved the same ease and confidence that men get from putting on a jacket,” Baygual Nespatti shared at the event.
The Scene: As the evening unfolded, guests moved through an atelier staffed with seamstresses, flipping through options for mantras, brooches, and buttons to make the jacket their own, while two additional rooms let shoppers browse the rest of the collection.
The Occasion: Guests and friends of the brand gathered to celebrate the launch of the Trailblazer, though the night elegantly pulled double-duty as a fundraiser for type-one diabetes nonprofit T1D, which received 20% of proceeds from the blazer’s sale through the day of the opening.
Food and Drink: Spicy margaritas and champagne ensured a festive pulse permeated the room all evening long, while servers circulated light bites including fish tacos and chicken Caesar salad tarts.
Parting Gift: Each guest had the option of purchasing a Trailblazer of their own, and was gifted the September issue of CULTURED in one of the magazine’s totes.
