At the French maison's NYFW party, the A-list crowd compared notes on the season's happenings between snacks and spritzes of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu.

Chanel brought its newest crush to SoHo on Thursday evening, taking over the iconic French brasserie Balthazar to celebrate the U.S. launch of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu—and the new fragrance’s campaign starring Grammy-nominated musician and house ambassador Gracie Abrams. Created by Chanel in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, the scent is a more intense take on the original Coco Mademoiselle, and set the tone for an evening built around spectacle.

The Scene: Balthazar’s old-school, downtown charm lent the launch a cinematic backdrop as fashion’s finest packed into vivid red booths and swiped martinis from the bar.

Cause for FOMO: Guests were offered an immersive introduction to the new fragrance and campaign, complete with olfactory sampling experiences, a set from DJ Kitty Ca$h, and a surprise cap to the evening: an energetic performance from Kiwi indie rock number Balu Brigada.

The Guests: The guest list was packed with stars across fashion, music, art, and entertainment including actors Ella Rubin, Sarah Catherine Hook, Adam DiMarco, Lux Pascal, Keen Ruffalo, Nick Robinson, Anna Van Patten, Igby Rigney, and Coco Jones; comedians Marcello Hernández, Sarah Sherman, and Adam Friedland; models Paloma Elsesser, Iris Law, and Imaan Hammam; musicians Charlotte Lawrence, Justine Skye, Michelle Zauner, and Ravyn Lenae; director Janicza Bravo; tastemakers Olivia Jade and Nara Smith; curator Antwaun Sargent; and artist Chloe Wise.

Food & Drink: Classical Balthazar fare was passed through the space on glimmering silver trays—including french fries, shrimp cocktails, and sumptuous burgers. At the bar, cocktails and champagne flowed against revelrous music and chatter.
