New York Fashion Week received its first proper toast Wednesday evening, as designers Thom Browne, Joseph Altuzarra, Stacey Bendet, and Sabyasachi Mukherjee rang in the beginning of a week’s worth of fashion-forward mayhem at Rockefeller Center, alongside the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Before the crowd moved inside Le Rock, the hosts joined musicians Becky G, Sebastián Yatra, and Honey Dijon rinkside for the NYFW Live ribbon-cutting ceremony and the evening’s customary opening-night photo call.

The Occasion: The evening officially kicked off New York Fashion Week and marked the third edition of NYFW Live at Rockefeller Center, which will livestream select shows throughout the week to the viewing public passing through the shopping corridor and outdoor venue.

The Locale: The festivities unfolded in front of the Rink at Rockefeller Center before drinks and snacks were served at Le Rock.

Food and Drink: Upstairs at Le Rock, ice-chilled seafood spread and cocktails kept guests entertained and well-fed, as show-goers popped in and out in the midst of the day’s rigmarole of events.

The Guests: The guest list had no shortage of industry leaders and major fashion names, including CFDA CEO and President Steven Kolb; CFDA Chairman Thom Browne; musicians Becky G, Sebastián Yatra, and Honey Dijon; designers Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung, Wes Gordon, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, Olympia Gayot, Willy Chavarria, Zac Posen, Christian Cowan, Aurora James, Rachel Scott, Stacey Bendet, Joseph Altuzarra, Sabyasachi Mukherjee; Claire Sullivan, Emily Adams Bode Aulja, and Colm Dillane; models Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman, and Paloma Elsesser; actor and musician Coco Jones; and nightlife icon Susanne Bartsch.
