Designers and fashion insiders mingled against sweeping views outside the SoHo Grand’s lush penthouse.

Just before Knicks fever swept New York once more last night, the fashion crowd gathered downtown for a buzzy launch directly imported from Australia. BLKSWN—the ready-to-wear brand committed to elevated textiles, imaginative colorways, and refined design—offered guests a one-night opportunity to experience the Kimberley collection personally, with cocktails and canapés in-tow.

The Locale: The SoHo Grand’s Loft North provided an intimate downtown backdrop, as guests filtered between racks of the Kimberley collection, the terrace outside, and a king-size bed overflowing with nearly as many pillows as it did patrons.

The Crowd: BLKSWN founder Annalise Grimshaw; designers Kim Shui, Christian Siriano, Presley Oldham, Tanner Richie, and Fletcher Kasell; CULTURED Director of Brand Ian Malone; fashion tastemakers Jalil Johnson, Tina Zhang, Eric Jess, Curtis and Carlsen Atanga, Isiah Magsino, and Dylan Kelly; model Peter Demas; chef Romilly Newman; entrepreneur Jade Beguelin; and artist Cato Ouyang.

Food & Drink: Between sumptuous boards of charcuterie and passed hors d’oeuvres, guests sipped champagne as the sun set over a uniquely revelrous downtown scene.

Cause for FOMO: An on-site embroidery station allowed guests to customize a BLKSWN bucket hat in real time, a take-home token of the night’s festivities.

Parting Gift: Each guest departed with a gift bag packed with BLKSWN exclusive items, including a brand magazine, candle, water bottle, and special-edition tote bag.
