A one-night glimpse inside Peter Marino’s characteristically singular world came by way of a book signing at Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship.

On Wednesday night, Tiffany & Co.’s  Fifth Avenue flagship glimmered with both stars and silver during the signing of collector and architect Peter Marino’s sleek new book, Tiffany Silver: The Peter Marino Collection. The illustrious phenom, clad in his distinctive leather ensemble, gathered magnates across creative industries at the Landmark in celebration of the House’s fine craftsmanship, which he has dutifully translated into a venerable collection of curiosities.

The Occasion: The architect signed his new tome for a legion of both Marino and Tiffany & Co. devotees. The oversized publication includes over 130 photographs of Tiffany & Co. silver alongside original drawings from the architect’s archives.

The Locale: For those out of the know, the sleek 10-story flagship was reimagined and updated by Marino in 2023. A private space on the top floor showed a selection from Marino’s personal coterie of Tiffany & Co. silver as a backdrop for mingling guests at the event, who browsed the book’s fresh pages to see what might be missing from the floor display. Amongst the cocktails and canapés, Marino’s tea pots, plates, and silverware, as well as encrusted brooches and ornamental jewelry, made the cut.

Parting Gift: Guests were gifted copies of the book, filled with the 19th-century vases, pitchers, vases, trophies, and more that cemented Tiffany & Co. as one of the foremost American silversmiths. Each book was personally inscribed by Marino in fitting silver and gold pens.
