Last Friday, Miami's Coconut Grove neighborhood became the latest enclave to host "On the Wings of Hermès"—a travelling performance series from a maison that never misses. The immersive production—involving dance, choreography, and real-time cinematic projections—took up residence at The Hangar in Regatta Harbour, the latest leg in a world tour that has touched down thus far in Los Angeles, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.

Originally conceived by Belgian duo Jaco Van Dormael and Michèle Anne De Mey alongside the Astragales dance company, the mesmerizing performance unfolds over seven chapters inspired by the story of Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology. Live scenes are staged on miniature sets and projected in real time onto large screens that fill the cavernous space, immersing audiences in a delightful tangle of elegance and play.

Described by Hermès Artistic Director Pierre-Alexis Dumas as “an experience which sparks the imagination, designed by artisans of dreams,” the work—which will be on view through April 27—commemorates the French house’s signature levity of spirit.
