Don't know how to set the mood this holiday season? You might want to follow Diptyque's lead. The cult French brand lit a festive flame with their new holiday collection just in time for Art Basel Miami Beach last week.
On Thursday night, the CMO of Diptyque Americas, Jessie Dawes, joined artist Lucy Sparrow and CULTURED Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson in hosting an intimate soirée to celebrate Diptyque’s new suite of scented candles, fragrances, and sets. The seasonal selection was created in collaboration with Sparrow, who imbued it with her signature whimsy and felted touch.
Dinner was served at the Miami Beach residence of collector Debbie August, where guests found themselves sipping on icy rosemary cocktails adorned with cranberries before gathering around ornate table arrangements just in time for a feast.
Over the smell of Sapin pine tree—Diptyque’s iconic holiday scent—along with the scents of Friandise (Sweet Treat) and the velvety notes of Étoile––staples of the Maison's new line, attendees such as photographer Bruce Weber, singer and actress Janelle Monáe, artist Rogan Gregory, Tappan founder Chelsea Neman Nassib, and model Yvesmark Chery caught up with the latest in art and fashion-world news, before trickling back into the Miami night with Diptyque party favors in hand and future holiday revelry in mind.
