Miami Art Week is back again, and the Lucky Cat was certainly feeling the moment last night.
CULTURED’s Editor-at-Large Julia Halperin joined forces with Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden Director Melissa Chiu and trustee Imani Greene to celebrate the annual art-world rendezvous at Gordon Ramsay’s South Beach hotspot.
The co-hosts gathered cultural insiders like curator Estrellita B. Brodsky, Colombian journalist and film producer Isaac Lee, and model and strategist Kai Milla Morris, kicking off the evening with mezcal and oolong mango lassis before sitting for an intimate dinner immersed in the restaurant's smoky decor. One by one, Asian-inspired delicacies—from elaborate omakase boxes and wok-fried buchu to charred robatas and ceviche—were passed around with an assortment of specialty cocktails.
Guests exchanged the latest art-world news, fair-floor takeaways, and plans for the week, filling the Lucky Cat with energy and excitement. Although the Hirshhorn calls Washington, DC, home, its patrons sure know how to make a splash in Miami!
