Three Daughters follows the tensions and breakthroughs of one family who reunite in New York to care for their sick father. Those who have been on a film set may know that the extended crew and cast are somewhat like a family of their own, navigating the same ups and downs in pursuit of a creative end. Last night, CULTURED's VIP Club members got a look behind-the-scenes of this process when they sat down with director Azazel Jacobs and actors Elizabeth Olsen and Jovan Adepo for a screening of the film hosted by non-profit arts organization Film Independent

The event was the first screening since the magazine formed its partnership with the organization, which gives VIP Club members access to these exclusive panels. Presented at the Linwood Dunn Theater at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study in Los Angeles, participants were a long way from the film's New York origins. In the TIFF Official Selection, three estranged sisters—portrayed by Olsen, Carrie Coon, and Natasha Lyonne—navigate the uncertain territory of terminal illness, embodied by their father (Jay O. Sanders).
