A British design invasion is taking over Hollywood.
Last night on Melrose, design enthusiasts were treated to the latest in luxury furniture. Presented by Christopher Guy, Clive Christian Interiors, Éclat Public Relations, and CULTURED, the event marked the grand opening of the brand’s joint, Lifestyle Experience showroom, allowing guests to picture the interiors of their dreams as they perused the wares with cocktails in hand.
Both Christopher Guy and Clive Christian Interiors have reputations for their commitment to craft and quality: The former’s eponymous designer blended British flair with French-inspired know-how designing interiors for The Savoy in London, The Beverly Wilshire in California, and The Venetian in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, the latter established a wholly bespoke practice, taking a “yesterday meets tomorrow” approach. Naturally, launching a combined showroom for these two British design behemoths was a no-brainer.
Guests with a passion for interiors were out in full force: Co-Founders of Clive Christian Interiors Los Angeles Penny Denos and Laurie Barigazzi, CEO of Clive Christian Interiors Jim Denos, in addition co-owner of Christopher Guy West Hollywood with Danny Tohir, CEO of Christopher Guy Kisa Harrison, entrepreneur Hanane El Moutii, model Nicholas Slick Stewart, CULTURED's Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson, interior designer Sophie Goineau, architect Luis M Fernandez, fashion and lifestyle commentator Stephanie Liu Hjelmeseth, and Mode Rsvp writer Julia Corot Comil could all be spotted browsing the design on display.
Attendees were treated to Ravella tequila, cocktails, and Louis Roederer Collection 243 champagne as they took a look around the designers’ latest outpost. Fans of Clive Christian saw the largest collection of their products all at the same location, even getting to explore multiple replica kitchens and the company’s Alpha Deco dressing room in its full dark wood and marble glory. Not to be outdone, Christopher Guy had on display an all-white dining room featuring one of their famous mirrors taking up an entire wall. It was certainly their world, one that guests were delighted to step into.
