Pharrell Williams is bringing his signature hit-making skills to Tiffany & Co.’s classic jewelry collection.
The multi-hyphenate phenom—who already holds the titles of singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and creative director—is adding jewelry designer to his lengthy resume. His Tiffany Titan collection, now available online and in store, blends the luxury juggernaut’s timeless craftsmanship with Williams’s bold flair.
“This is an exciting project for me,” he tells CULTURED. “I have forever been passionate about jewelry, from diamond quality to design, so creating the Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection with a house like Tiffany & Co. has been an exceptional experience.”
Drawing from the image of Poseidon’s trident, Tiffany Titan imagines the spike motif in titanium, gold, and diamonds. Offered in polished metals or dripping in diamonds, the 19-piece unisex collection provides a range of styles and moods, for people who want to branch out from understated designs to those who favor distinct pieces.
A simple pendant has two spiked 18 karat gold links on a delicate chain, while the Titan ring with black titanium and gold bands, one entirely done in pavé diamonds, is dripping with excess. No matter the mix of metals, Williams’s work evokes a sense of power, authority, and play that he imbues in any project he touches.
Differentiating this collection from the usual Tiffany fare is the use of black titanium. Striking, industrial, and grounding, the metal pops against the gold, creating an enticing contrast. Black titanium link earrings—connected by a pavé link in the middle—catch the eye, and a titanium link bracelet brings a masculine, authoritative energy, offsetting the two gold and pavé diamond links. This is entirely by design: Williams’s choice to incorporate black titanium in the pieces not only creates an arresting color palette, but adds dimension. “It’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness,” he adds.
The hitmaker has already been making waves in the fashion space. As men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton, Williams ushered in a new era of luxury menswear for the French house, the Fall/Winter 2024 collection going Western. Taking his talents to Tiffany, Williams looks to be making another genre-defying hit, one with aplomb and vision only he can provide.
